My story

Lulu is a wiggly, tail-wagging sweetheart who’s equal parts curious explorer and cuddlebug. She greets new friends with a happy tail, and is always eager to head out on her walk. Lulu walks well on leash with minimal pulling and enjoys checking out every scent she can find. In new spaces, she’s more interested in her surroundings at first, but once she settles in, her affectionate side shines. She’ll happily climb into your lap for kisses and pets, and she takes treats gently, even sitting patiently for them. Lulu is social, sweet, and ready to be someone’s best friend. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate pup who loves exploring and snuggling in equal measure, Lulu might be the gal for you. Meet her at ACCT Philly, open daily from 10 am to 6 pm VIDEOS: Playgroup 3/24: Serena, Hunter, Boo Boo, and Lulu Drop Leash: https://youtu.be/vk0xLc6J948?feature=shared BEHAVIOR 03/25/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Lulu was at the front with soft eyes and a wagging tail. Once I cracked the door she moved back and was easy and eager to be leashed. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally to moderately. HANDLING : In the room, Lulu sniffed around curiously and ignored me for about 6 minutes before I called for her. She came right up to me with a wagging tail, sniffed me and walked away. She was so interested in the other smells around the room, it was becoming hard for her to focus on me and what I was asking of her. After some more time she decided to interact with me, jumping in my lap, and giving me kisses. I offered a treat which she took gently and sat patiently for. She allowed all handling and was super wiggly and loose. PLAY: Minimal interest TOYS: Interest but no possession COLOR LEVEL & ANY RECOMMENDATIONS: Green 03/24/2025 staff notes, playgroup: Lulu was very fearful in playgroup. She was trying to hide from and avoid the other dogs. She did not want to greet anyone or play at all. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. If you are a rescue interested in pulling this animal, please email our lifesaving team, or visit here if you are not currently a rescue partner: https://acctphilly.org/acct-philly-love-local-partnership-program/ Confirmed placement is considered a confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent. All animals at ACCT Philly are from Philadelphia, as the only open-intake animal shelter in Philadelphia, we are not able to accept animals from outside of Philadelphia. ACCT Philly’s Pennsylvania kennel license number is 08313

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lulu, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
