Ideal Home: Cool, Calm and Collected 😌Qualities: Affectionate, Outgoing, SocialHave you heard the mews? There is a house panther prowling the adoption scene! Meet 2-year-old Jermaine, a happy go lucky boy who is affectionately described by his foster mom as an absolute love and delight, and we couldn't agree more looking at those adorable chunky cheeks!Jermaine lived outside for at least 2 years and loves to keep his "rough around the edges, but secret lover boy" catitude. It's evident by the look of healed injuries and FIV that Jermaine lived a full life outdoors, and he now is ready to live his best life indoors. He is settling in nicely and loves sitting by the window in the cat beds, snuggling with his foster purr-rents in bed or on the couch (you really can't avoid it, he insists)Jermaine's ideal home would be on the calmer side, possibly with another non-dominant cat that enjoys getting bathed because he LOVES bathing them! There would be plenty of cat nip to roll around in, plenty of wet food, and patient humans that understand his cues. Under his 20# full figured frame, Jermaine is a really sweet boy who just wants to be loved by his human best friend. He's a cat dog in the best way.Jermaine is now accepting adoption applications, available below!Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be passed onto dogs or humans. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who have not been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing bowls, or litter boxes. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they live indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and a good diet. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below. https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/______________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here: https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jermaine, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
