My story

Sapphire recently enjoyed a Doogie Day and here`s what her foster had to say about her: Meet Sapphire: Your Future Cuddle Champion!Sapphire was surrendered to the shelter at no fault of her own! She is an absolute gem! This sweet girl is the ultimate cuddle bug, but she can be a bit unsure in new environments. When feeling uncomfortable, you may catch her adorably army crawling—a sign that she needs a moment to adjust. During her transition, she needed a little encouragement to hop in the van but quickly settled in her kennel, with just a few soft whines. Unfortunately, a loud truck startled her during our walk, prompting us to retreat to the calm of our home.Once inside, Sapphire made herself right at home, jumping gently into the recliner beside my son for some quality snuggle time. Her gentle nature is heartwarming; she barely puts any weight on you when she jumps. She loves being held and has no trouble with being picked up! Bath time was a little uncomfortable for her, but she went with the flow. I used a medicated anti-itch shampoo and conditioner during her bath to soothe her skin, and she graciously let me trim her nails without any fuss. Sapphire absolutely adores enrichment toys—she spent over 30 minutes happily engaging with her treat puzzle! While we didn’t make it to the park due to her discomfort outside, we enjoyed a cozy day watching Moana 2 and having a snuggle party!This velcro love bug thrives on affection. She adores hugs and makes a perfect weighted blanket for movie nights, often snoozing with the cutest bear-like snores! Sapphire is a master of soft, gentle kisses, and she’ll surprise you with sneak attacks when you least expect them! Sapphire would thrive best in a cat-free home. With her gentle spirit and loving demeanor, Sapphire would make a wonderful companion, especially for anyone who enjoys a cozy night in over big adventures. We had a delightful day with her, and she truly is a sweetheart! Let’s help this sweet girl find her forever home, where she can continue her journey of love and happiness.
