My story

Meet Esme – Your New Best Friend! Also known as: MeMe, Mazer, Mazer Lazer, and Squirrel Esme is an incredibly smart and loyal Pittweiler with a heart as big as her personality. She was rescued last May near downtown Dallas, found alongside her sister at just three weeks old. Since then, she has been part of our family, growing into a loving and devoted companion. Esme is crate-trained, potty-trained, and well-mannered. She knows how to sit on command and won’t touch her food until you point at her bowl and say, “Go.” She has a deep love for music and is absolutely mesmerized when a new sound catches her ear. She enjoys playing with her sister, but it’s time for them to find separate forever homes. Esme thrives as a one-dog household pet, as she can become territorial around other dogs, especially when food is involved. Because of this, we encourage her new family to consider aggression training to help her feel more confident and secure. Above all, Esme is a cuddle champion who loves to snuggle and be close to her people. She is incredibly affectionate and easy to love. If you’re looking for a devoted and loving companion who will shower you with loyalty and warmth, Esme is ready to be your new best friend! Esme is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster.
