Annie Aurora

My story

This is Aurora and she was timestamped. We call her Annie because Aurora seems a little…oh…I don’t know - majestic , royal …a name that is reserved for the more confident lady. Annie is not confident - she is more like your best friend in high school who follows you around, 1/2 a step behind you , pushing her glasses up , wringing her hands and saying things like: Ohhhh dear Or Ohhhh my Or Ohhhh boy that does NOT seem like a good idea. We’ve been delayed in posting anything about her simply because I wasn’t sure if she was so good because she was out of her mind petrified when she first came home or if she was just so good. After a week, I’ve decided she is just so good. Nope - she is so great. She is still semi petrified about a few things - sudden movements, cars that pass us on the road when we are walking, vacuums. But she is getting better and better about life in general, and she is getting more confident as each day goes by. Things we know: She is great/relaxed in the car Good/calm on a leash . Good on steps, hardwood, carpet and gravel. Very quiet . Sleeps all night through in one spot. 90% housetrained. Loves our dog. Loves! Will get in furniture if invited (and we invite her) Scared of vacuums and the dishwasher and shouting. (We have teens…so, you know …) Good with all over pets. Loves to snuggle . Shy at first but warms up after a bit. Tries to be very brave in new situations and finds comfort in handler. She doesn’t love some things, as you can tell by her body language, but she really really tries. We do not have cats or any small children. No interest in toys yet. She is just the sweetest little thing. We are starting to see her playful side, her independent side and her willingness to learn
