My story

Hello, I’m Mr. Valentine! My friends just call me Valentine. Mr. is so formal and I am so NOT formal! I’m more free-spirited, bouncy, sunny and upbeat! I make people laugh with my happy unbounded vigor. I’m always looking for something fun to do – like wrestle with a toy or make a new buddy! Making friends is kind of my speciality. I love playing with people and other dogs. Romping around with a doggy pal and tugging on stuffies is my idea of an awesome day! Top that off with some delicious treats and I won’t be able to stop smiling! The only thing that would make an absolutely perfect day would be to have all those things in my own home. Not too much to ask in my opinion. I’ve been at the shelter almost 6 months already.Everyone who knows me can’t believe it’s taking so long for someone to scoop me up. I’m totally handsome, super playful and very lovable. I’m smart, too! I know how to sit, give paw and lay down. Sometimes I get the prompts mixed up in my head – but they are in there – dancing around with visions of frolicking & cookies! I’m only 9 months old and need time to learn. I’m looking for a patient, active person who can give me all their love, attention and guidance. Do you have the energy and experience to raise an adorable puppy?
