Rip

My story

Rip is a very special dog that needs a very special home. Approx 7 years old and 75 pounds, he’s a big solid boy We don’t know his background but we’re pretty sure it wasn’t a very nice life Picked up by AC in S CA, his story could have ended there But for a wonderful highly skilled animal behavioralist and master trainer that decided to take a chance on him, it most likely would have. Rip was rough looking and his skin was in horrible shape but with some tlc he’s doing SO MUCH better! His knees are finally softening but he cannot lay on hard surfaces for long periods of time so he does need a bed or cushion Rip is crate and kennel trained - he does suffer from some anxiety but as he builds confidence he’ll continue to improve. Rip is very affectionate to his humans and loves attention. It takes a bit for him to warm up but when he does he loves with his whole heart No small children tho, he’s still learning his way :) He’s also an active dog and needs exercise - he does well on a treadmill! Rip does need an experienced adopter - he’s come a long way but he’ll need to continue working on his confidence and needs structure No cats or any small animals, like most Am Staff’s Rip has some pretty good prey drive We prefer him to be the only dog but may make an exception to an experienced adopter that know this breed Rip is currently in Anza CA but can be transported to the right home in CO, UT or NM He is neutered, utd on vax and microchipped Please email mybestfriendrescue@gmail.com for more information about Rip
