My story

Meet Alfie, an adorable 1 y/o mystery mix weighing 9 lbs. He seems to be part Rat Terrier, though his coat was shaved, leaving us unsure how long his fur will be when it grows back.  Background: Alfie was found as a stray, but sadly, no one came forward to claim him. When rescued, he was covered in ticks and had small scabs across his skin. Thankfully, he is healing well, and his skin should fully recover soon.  Personality: Alfie’s sweet and affectionate nature suggests he was once loved. He adores meeting new people and is equally fond of running and playing with other dogs. After an active play session, he loves nothing more than snuggling up with his humans for some quality cuddle time.  Health: Alfie is up to date on all vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for tickborne illnesses.  Training: Alfie is house-trained and uses a dog door. He runs incredibly fast and may pose a flight risk, so his adoptive family must ensure he remains secure and work diligently on recall training to prevent him from escaping.  Ideal Home: Alfie would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention and would likely get along well with children. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would benefit from having a playful canine companion. To ensure his safety, a secure, fenced-in yard is required.  Adoption Requirements: Alfie’s adoption fee is $350.
