My story

SPECIAL NEED: possible hit by car victim found lateral and weak with focal head seizures observed. Cause of seizures is unknown, management not feasible here in shelter setting. Needs rescueUnable to properly care for a possibly seizing dog overnight at shelter.Needs rescue.04/15/25 11:47 Seizures are currently under control with anti-seizure medication. May need anti-seizure medication long-term, or may be able to wean off and monitor for recurrence of seizures under veterinary supervision. Rescue/adopter will need to follow up with their veterinarian to develop treatment plan.04/16/25 21:50 Patient has been weaned off phenobarbital and is being monitored for recurrence of seizures at this time.
