My story

Ronnie is a sweet and loving 7 ½-year-old, around 84 pound black with chocolate highlights Labrador Retriever, German Shepard mix with a heart full of love to give. He enjoys the simple pleasures in life-playing ball, lounging in the grass, and going on relaxing walks. He is both crate trained and housebroken, even using bells on the back door to let you know when he needs to go outside. If you don`t notice right away, he`ll gently remind you by coming over and leading you back to the door.Ronnie is an intelligent boy who knows several commands, including `sit,` `down,` `stay,` `wait,` `come,` `leave it,` `drop,` and `place.` He takes treats gently and enjoys fun little snacks like ice cubes and yellow or orange peppers. He walks well on a leash and listens attentively to verbal cues. He is polite during mealtimes and patiently waits for permission before eating.Though he may be a little cautious when meeting new adults, he warms up with gentle introductions and reassurance. Once he trusts you, his affectionate side shines through, and he loves spending time with his people.Ronnie enjoys the company of other dogs. He is most comfortable in a home with older children (10+ years old) who understand how to give him space and let him come to them at his own pace.If you`re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Ronnie would love to meet you!Like all CPR dogs, additional dog training is required.Ronnie is fixed, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm-negative, and microchipped. He is currently being cared for by our rescue but would like you to make him a permanent part of your family today! His adoption fee of $250 will also help to benefit other CPR rescue animals. For additional pictures/videos on our website, please copy/paste this link in your browser:https://www.chicagopetrescue.org/dogs.html#RonnieCurrent Location: Foster Home

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ronnie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
