My story

Avon is a very shy cat that prefers the company of furry companions over interactions with people. He is very playful, and loves to engage with wand toys and chase balls and soft toys across the room - this is a quick way to win his heart. He does not feel ready yet to sit in laps or receive pets, but with the patience and support of a loving and openhearted human will likely turn into the affectionate mush, that still looks and acts like a kitten at times, that he is deep inside. If you've run out of energy to play, luckily he also enjoys yummy food and treats and once you've exhausted your will to play, you can still keep building your relationship with food, and he will enjoy your calm presence from a safe distance. In shelter, he's been observed to be more independent and keep to himself and a few trusted companions. No kids, yes cats, unsure dogs.
