My story

From a staff member 4/22: I took Quincie outside today. At the kennel, she stayed calm as I leashed her, and she walked well. When we entered the play yard, she went to the restroom. In the play yard, she had a calm demeanor. She loved getting pets, and she played with the toys a bit. She seemed slightly more interested in the other dogs than she was with me. She seems to know the “sit” and “shake” commands. She was a little hesitant to put the leash back on to go back in. She got into a submissive pose by lying on her back and showing her stomach. She did, however, go back into the kennel with no problems. On 4/22/25 Sophia did a meet and greet with Quincie. Sophia was tense with introductions and tended to overcorrect Quincie's friendly approach. Quincie was friendly and social, but sometimes dominant. She would get tense when Sophia would overcorrect and they did get into a few scuffles. Aversives had to be used to separate. Initially, they separated easily, but they became more conflict driven and difficult to separate. On 4/15/25 I visited Quincie in her kennel. She was sitting at the front with good kennel presentation. She took treats very eagerly. I entered her kennel and offered more treats. She seems to know "sit" and "shake" and readily does both. She really seems to know "the game" and will immediately sit if she thinks there are treats. She nipped at my hand thinking it was a treat. I told her "easy" and slowly gave her treats and she took them nicely. Very sweet friendly ball of fun! 🌟 Meet Quince! 🌟 Looking for the perfect mix of sweet and spunky?
