My story

This stunning girl is Sophie! She was surrendered to the shelter on 3/19, but we're not sure why. Her former family did mention that she is house-trained, good with kids, and other dogs. Sophie is very sweet, but understandably a little shy and scared in the loud shelter environment. The volunteers have discovered that she knows how to sit nicely when asked. Sophie is a little strong on leash so she could use a refresher course on leash walking skills. With a little time and patience, Sophie should be able to adjust easily in a new home. Sophie is approximately 3 years old and weighs 65 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and tested negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Sophie in run 855; her ID # is 8828. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
