A volunteer writes:Palo might not be a "breed" cat but he is an elegant beauty of the American Shorthair kind! He is healthy, dressed handsomely and knows how to pose for pictures, which makes him a photographer's favorite.. Shy he is, at least within our walls but he is slowly coming around and treats helping, Palo accepts now gentle petting accompanied by soft words(see video). Palo came from a thirty three cats home where he did stand out as a very talkative lap cat, a bit timid initially with strangers and very friendly and outgoing with his multiple fellow kitties. I trust that in a safe and loving home, Palo will bloom and be again the happy and lively pet he was just yesterday. Palo is already neutered, did very well on his behavior evaluation and is ready to go home with you! What my friends at ACC say about me:Palo was in the den, looking out through the side door, but retreated slightly when approached appearing nervous. He barely sniffed treats, and when the front cover was removed, he had sideways ears and fairly large pupils. He ate squeeze up, but not off the assessor's finger. He tolerated petting but didn't seem to enjoy it and was only accepted petting reluctantly. Palo tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior./p Primary Color: Gray Tabby Weight: 10.12 Age: 2yrs 1mths 2wks
