My story

Meet Riley! This petite Lab mix may only weigh around 38 pounds, but he has the biggest heart. At just a year old, Riley has been through a lot, but you'd never know it from his happy, playful nature. After being hit by a car over the summer, he lost one of his front legs but that hasn't slowed him down one bit! With the help of his foster family, Riley has worked hard to recover and build up strength, and now he's finally ready to find his forever home. Riley is the definition of resilience, and his adorable personality shines through every day. He loves playing outside, wrestling and cuddling with his foster sisters, and soaking up all the belly rubs he can get. He's also a pro at giving kisses-to people, other dogs, even the air! He has the biggest puppy-dog eyes and a little clumsy streak that makes him even more endearing. When Riley is ready to relax, he enjoys leaning against his favorite people or his doggy siblings for a little extra comfort. He starts his mornings with pure joy, eager to greet his family, sometimes zipping around with excitement. A home with plenty of cozy spots and secure footing would be perfect for him! A steady, predictable home environment will help Riley continue to grow in confidence. He absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion, though he may take a little time to warm up to new people. Because he can be a bit cautious at first and prefers a calm setting, a home with older children would be the best fit. Once he bonds with his family, he's incredibly loyal and loving. He walks well on a leash once comfortable, though a fenced yard is ideal since a standard harness isn't an option for him. Riley is fully house and crate trained, loves his naps, and doesn't mind baths or nail trims. He'd love a home where someone is around more often, but he does just fine on his own and finds comfort in his crate. With a patient, loving family who will let him warm up at his own pace, Riley is sure to be the most loyal and affectionate companion. Riley is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped.
