My story

Meet Gus, a sweet and gentle 1-year-old domestic shorthair mix with a heart full of potential. Gus has tested slightly positive for Feline Leukemia, so he’ll need a loving home where he can live with just his brother, Gunner, who he’s been with since day one. This duo has a special bond and is inseparable! Gus is a bit on the shy side at first, but once he’s comfortable, he’s a calm and affectionate companion. He’s great with adults but would do best in a quiet, child-free home where he can relax and feel secure. Gus enjoys spending his days lounging around with Gunner and coming to you for affection when he's ready. Though calm, Gus has his playful moments—he loves running through tunnels, chasing his brother, and pouncing on toys. He's litterbox trained and has had no issues with it. Gus is looking for a forever home where he can feel safe and loved, preferably with his brother Gunner by his side. If you’re ready to open your heart to a pair of sweet kitties with a lot of love to give, Gus and Gunner might be the perfect fit for you! For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Friday and 10:30-4 on Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).
