Surimi

My story

Trust is something earned not given with this sweet girl. At first she didn’t want to leave her kennel and would pull to get back to it. Surimi buried her head in our lap with her tail tucked after shaking behind us hiding from the world. It was a hard transition to the shelter. Surimi recently made a big step. Instead of hiding in the corner of her kennel when we go to leash her, she is at the door ready. We are so proud! Western Ave. Chicago, IL *The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. *All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. *Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
