My story

Meet Lou Lou! She is a passionate outdoor explorer with the biggest grin and most gorgeous eyes. This gentle girl has lived outdoors for most of her life (likely on a chain). While she's loving the perks that come with being a valued member of her foster family (like a roof over her head and comfy beds!), she really loves being outside (especially if there's dirt to be fiddled with). She would love a person or family that likes being outside with her (a fenced-in yard is a must) and will take her on short, slow walks to so she can see the world. While she's a shy girl, Lou Lou is really warming up to her foster family and has even started nudging them to demand they pet her - with a big grin on her face! Part of what makes spending time with Lou Lou so rewarding is seeing how far she comes every day she's in foster and how much she has learned in such a short time. She needs a loving owner who will be patient with her and help her on her learning journey, whether it's housetraining (working on it and making progress!), riding in the car (she gets anxious but is improving) or just letting her move at her own pace. She thrives with structure and routine and is a great listener. Lou Lou had a previously broken leg that didn't heal properly so she moves slowly, has a limp that she takes pain medication for, and needs time to navigate stairs. She prefers a quiet house and will politely excuse herself to a different room if it gets too loud for her. Could you be the one to give Lou Lou the love, patience, and kindness she deserves?
