My story

Are you looking for an active dog?   OMG - How adorable is this girl?   Just look at that face!! Mandy is guessed to be an approximate 8-12 month old Jack Russell Terrier mix around 30 lbs.   She is a genuine love bug and is very cuddly once she feels comfortable with you.    She is also very smart and would be quick to learn new things.   This adorable girl is SUPER ATHLETIC!!!!  She loves to play with all the dogs at her foster mom's house and is an amazing jumper!  She would be a great agility dog or hiking buddy once she builds a relationship with her new adoptor.   Because she is so athletic she will either need an adopter with no yard who will walk her or she will need a 6 foot fence and to be kept on a leash in the yard supervised until she knows that is her home and she feels safe.  She gets a bit nervous left alone but once she felt safe at her foster home she does great in the yard with the other dogs unsupervised.  She is doing really well learning to walk on a leash also.   Mandy is waiting patiently to find her FurEver Family!!   Precious gentle-soul is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes and rehabilitates shy or unsocialized dogs. She is absolutely adorable and her eyes will melt your heart! Her foster mom thinks she would do better in a home with adults or older children to work with her.   Her foster mom has an amazing rehabilitation protocol to help these dogs and is working with all of them on potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, kennel training, doggie door training and if time permits, leash and car training. She also has an amazing group of volunteers that meet twice a week to help socialize all the foster dogs in her care. There are lots of other dogs at her foster mom's house so we know she is dog friendly. Her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced slowly and properly. She will need an adopter, who will give her love and patience and help her gain confidence in her new world. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter, who is willing to do a minimum of one paid (discounted) training session with her. This training session is NOT basic obedience, but instead, is designed for rescue dogs and teaches the adopter how to work to build the dogs confidence and overcome any trauma the dog may have experienced.  This training is to teach the adopter how to help the dog be successful in their new home and will help the family and this sweet dog bond and adjust to their new life together. The foster provides a discount on training to her adopters.
