** $660 in pledges to any rescue that may pull! ** ** Interested foster through rescue ** ** New video 4/6! ** ** EXTENDED ** Momo Yuni ACCT-A-215251 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. Momo Yuni must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER, FOSTER or ADOPTER by WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9th at 10AM. Should Momo medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Momo Yuni came to the shelter after being found tied to a fence on March 15th. Though clearly shaken, she was brought to safety by police, and her journey toward healing began. Understandably timid at first, Momo has shown remarkable progress. She’s gentle, sweet, and loves cuddles and quiet companionship. While still a little unsure, she’s made clear efforts to trust—approaching with a wiggly tail and melting into pets once she feels secure. Momo walks beautifully on leash, is treat-motivated, and even knows how to sit. Around other gentle dogs, she coexists calmly, though she prefers low-key playgroups where she won’t be overwhelmed. This lovely, sensitive girl is ready for a soft place to land—a patient home where she can continue her journey at her own pace. If you’re the kind of person who delights in watching a shy soul bloom, Momo Yuni may just be your perfect match. VIDEOS: NEW! Per volunteer 3/30: Super easy to leash on and off. Walks so nicely and she just wanted to cuddle and get her back scratched. Sweet girl! Per volunteer 3/20: Really opened up! Per volunteer 3/19: Momo Yuni approached me with a wiggly body and wagging tail, but then when I took my leash out to leash her she immediately backed away. We did this a few more times and she always came forward for treats and then backed away. Finally, I closed off the divider so she didn’t have anywhere to go and she allowed me to leash her, laying down on her stomach to allow it. She was a bit skittish walking through the kennels, but very nice on leash with no pulling. Super sweet and submissive girl outside she loves cuddling and taking pets and being really close to you. She takes treats super gently and is pretty treat motivated. She seems to know sit. Interested in playing and toys but not overly playful. No issues having her out today, just a bit fearful at the beginning. Gave her a gold sticker. Per staff 3/19: So scared yet so sweet, scared of leashing but warms up outside. Per staff 3/17: Very scared and soft in playgroup. She was able to greet dogs and coexist with them without issue, she even seemed to like the softer dogs. When there was a larger number of dogs in the yard, Momo began to shut down and then sat in the corner for the rest of the time she was out. MEDICAL: On 3/21, Momo was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection (URI) or "doggy cold" and started on doxycycline. She tested positive for pneumovirus, but retested negative on 4/1. On 4/4, she was noted to have a complicated URI, so she was prescribed enrofloxacin and the doxycycline was extended. On 3/18, Momo was spayed. During her intake exam on 3/15, Momo’s ears had moderate wax and she had some feces on her hind end. Otherwise, she appeared in good health with no ocular or nasal discharge, minimal staining on her teeth, and no fleas or hair loss. Due to being significantly overcapacity with dogs and cats and higher than usual intake, extensions are unlikely to be granted.
