My story

Glory von Green is a 3 year old show stopper. She is a long-haired black and red German Shepherd, She looks like a dog who is used to being in the show rink. She is a sight to behold as she prances when she walks. Glory comes out of the kennel like a gust of wind, but she quickly falls in line and trots by your side. It's obvious that she has had some training and knows some commands. We would consider her mid-energy. She loves meeting new people and is always engaging and friendly. She wants to please and loves pets and any attention she can get. She takes treats very gently from your hand. Glory is also good in playgroups and loves socializing with the other dogs. She goes on her daily walks with several other dogs in a group. She does draw the line when it comes to small dogs and cats though, and says "No, thank you" to their company. She is used to living with a male dog, so if you have a lonely furry boy at home looking for a GF, Glory has her bags packed, ready to go. You have to come and meet this spectacular girl, she can't wait to have someone to love. Rescued from the San Bernardino animal shelter. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Glory von Greven YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org Application link: http://www.sheprescue.org/Application_to_Adopt_a_Dog%20Main.html Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Glory von Greven, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
