You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** You know, sometimes when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade, and this is exactly what tripod Bruce did! Prior coming into rescue, Bruce was found stuck in a creek with an infected hind leg, which ended up having to be amputated. Despite missing one leg, Bruce has shown remarkable resilience and does not let that missing leg stop him from living his best life! Sure, Bruce may have to bunny hop sometimes, but he can still run as fast as, if not faster than, his other four-legged playmates! In fact, Bruce refuses to sit out any type of game that his friends are playing. If you ask him, he will tell you that he is not missing anything at all, with the exception of his very own furever home with a canine sibling or two that want to play! He also hopes for a 4-foot fenced yard for games of chase. This high-energy boy has so much life, his zest for making the best out of any situation is contagious. Take one look at him and you cannot resist but to love on him, and of course, Bruce loves every moment of pets, cuddles, and affection. He adores meeting new people, making them all his instant best friends. Sweet Bruce doesn’t have any behavior issues, barks less than the average Pyr, walks well on leash and knows “sit.” This playful boy would love nothing more than to have an active family who would dote on him and be his whole world, because in his eyes, you ARE his whole world. If Bruce doesn't let his missing leg slow him down, what is stopping you from filling out an application to welcome him home? National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. May 1, 2025, 11:47 am
