My story

Just look at this adorable boy! He is such a neat dog. His ears just flop over now and makes him look so cute. He got to go on a road trip with his foster family and did amazing. Great in the car, great with other dogs and people, just a perfect little travel companion. Rocky continues to show how amazing and what a great dog he is everyday. We kid tested him and he was perfect. He is very gentle and calm around kids. He is careful when taking treats and asking for snuggles. He is also great in the car. He is growing into a well rounded beautiful sweet boy for all he went through. Nothing better than seeing them thrive! Handsome Rocky, smart, affectionate, and eager to learn, Rocky loves partnering with a human and has taken to initial obedience and manners training like a little star. Rocky puts himself in a Sit when he sees a treat or his food bowl. A quick learner, it took only a couple of tries for him to learn the word and the physical cue for Sit. Then he started just doing it in situations where he knew he should Sit. These sweet cuddly boys with starved tummies have shown how resilient and amazing these animals are. They are affectionate, smart and eager to work with their people. They sleep through the night. Have already learned sit for treats, sit for their food bowls. They are learning food is a regular feature in their new lives. This is now the third heartbreaking case in February of starving, neglected puppies fighting to survive. These four puppies—Titan, Rocky, Steel, and Indie—were locked in a closet with no access to food, water, or their mother. They were in critical condition, severely anemic and fighting to survive. Thanks to quick medical care they all have a chance for a good life now. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rocky Warrior, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
