My story

This beautiful girl is Rosie. She arrived at the shelter the first week of March 2025. This sweet pooch with a soft, smooth tan coat is learning to trust and have fun! Rosie is on the small side of medium. Since she came to us she has gained about 10 lbs, putting her at approximately 40 pounds. We really don’t know about her history. As she adjusts to the shelter, she’s friendly but tentative. Then she warms up and soaks up attention. She wants to be close to people. We think Rosie is around one year old. She loves to give licks and is gentle and quiet. She walks well on the leash is and is getting used to the idea of doing her business outside. Rosie is past puppy hood and will learn the ropes quickly with patient, consistent training. Rosie will do well with a single person, a couple, or a family with children old enough to be respectful and take a slow, gentle approach. Another easy-going canine friend would be great. Cats are probably a no, because Rosie likes to chase them. Rosie will reward her adopter with lots of love and companionship. Rosie up to date on vaccines and spayed. Interested in adopting Rosie? Please email Start II at start2nj@yahoo.com.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rosie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
