Steve

My story

Steve is a 1 yr old neutered male 76 lb Beauceron that came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 3/12. The breed are known to be loyal, friendly, playful, calm, and intelligent. I would say all those attributes apply to Steve ! I was met in his kennel with a gentle tail wag. When he first got out into the yard he was shaking but soon warmed up. He explored the yard but for the most part hung out with me. When he did explore the yard he strolled around like he didn’t have a care in the world. He’s well mannered, alert, sweet, and very attentive. He walked well on a leash. He did his business in the yard. He jumped back when other dogs barked at him. It appeared he was intimidated by them. He’s too big for an apartment. He would benefit from a yard so he could stretch his legs. After a brief romp in the yard, he would like nothing better than to come back in and chill out with his new family. Believe it or not this big boy is a lap dog wannabe!!!
