My story

With an abundance of zest, curiosity, and a sprinkle of sass, Shallott the cat is nothing short of extraordinary. His playful spirit knows no bounds—wand toys are his absolute favorite and he’ll zip and zap after them at lightning speeds. Shallott is also a quick learner. He’s currently mastering target training with the help of volunteers, picking up new commands faster than you can say “treat!”When he’s not darting around the room, Shallott loves winding between your legs and flopping down beside you, purring contentedly as if he’s claiming his spot as your loyal sidekick. Catnip bubbles are another favorite, he`ll chasing them with pure joy. Steak-scented bubbles however are an absolute “nope” in Shallott’s book!Upon arriving at LCAS, Shallott was diagnosed with FeLV. FeLV is not contagious to humans or dogs, though it can be transmitted between cats. Because of this, Shallott would thrive best in a home without other cats, or with fellow FeLV-positive kitties only, where he can enjoy life indoors. While the median survival time for FeLV is 2.5 years after diagnosis, it can be longer and we certainly hope that in Shallott`s case it will be. At just 2 years old, Shallott is still very much a kitten, full of energy, curiosity, and love to give. Despite the challenges his diagnosis brings, he absolutely deserves to spend his years in a loving home where he can continue to be the playful, lovable, and full-of-life cat that he is. Could you be the one to give Shallott the forever home he so deserves? Stop by the shelter and ask about Shallott today! We are open 11am-6pm. Are you viewing my information on a third party site like Petfinder.com? Make sure you stop by www.loudoun.gov/animals to see the most up-to-date information about me! I might already have an adoption pending!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt SHALLOTT, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
