My story

 Hello - My name is Felix and I am a 3.5 year old, super special boy! I was surrendered by my owner in Texas for reasons that had nothing to do with me (owner illness). I came to Colorado and was adopted quickly, but I started feeling 'not great' and my newest owner returned me. My awesome rescue recognized that something wasn't quite right and took me for a thorough work up. I was discovered to have HCM (hypercardiomyopathy), which is being controlled by medications, for now. Research has shown a variable life-span, but I could still give a new family love for a couple of years. While HCM is not curable, it is also possible that I could do really well with medications and the love and care of an understanding home.
