My story

Meet Harriet! Harriet entered San Bernardino City Animal Control as a stray, and it's sad thinking of this sweet, blind girl fending for herself. After Harriet wasn't claimed during the required hold period, the shelter reached out to us for a safe exit, and on March 13th, she became a Frosted Face. Harriet is estimated to be around 15 years old, weighs 15 lbs., and is just the sweetest girl. Like many dogs we are exiting from shelters, Harriet became very sick with pneumonia. Thankfully, after a month of receiving excellent care from our veterinary staff, and Harriet is finally feeling much better and is no longer in quarantine. We're so happy for her! Harriet's first days of freedom were spent on a weekend getaway at the home of a volunteer. She also went to the San Diego Humane Society's Walk for Animals along with other Frosted Faces, so she could meet potential adopters. Here is what we learned about Harriet during her getaway: * Harriet is potty-trained! * She is great with other dogs and slept in bed the first night with our volunteer and her dogs. * She loves to snuggle and will ask for more pets in an adorable way!
