He came to us after living in a home where he wasn’t walked, wasn’t trained, and—worst of all—wasn’t treated with the kindness every dog deserves. But Blue is trying anyway. Trying to figure things out. Trying to trust. Trying to be the good dog no one ever really gave him a chance to be.He arrived at the shelter with another dog, Royal, who helped him feel a little braver. They aren’t bonded and can be adopted separately, but if you’re open to welcoming two, they’ve shared a life and could continue growing together.Since arriving, Blue has started to come out of his shell. He’ll need help learning the basics like leash walking, house training, and how to greet people without launching into their arms. He’s food-motivated, sensitive, and wants so badly to do the right thing.He’s lived with other dogs, a cat, and young kids. He can get overexcited and forget boundaries, but with gentle redirection, he’s learning. He needs structure, routine, and above all—someone who’s ready to show him what home really means.If you’ve got a soft spot for the dogs who were let down but never gave up, come meet Blue.
