My story

Meet Alex, a bundle of joy with an infectious energy that is bound to brighten up your day. This 62-pound adult dog is the epitome of friendliness and playfulness, always ready to engage in a game of fetch or tug-of-war. He also likes agility, running, toys, walks, and water. Especially water - he can`t resist getting into it and splashing around in it - he even gets excited when water sprinklers are going off in neighbor`s lawns! Despite his energetic nature, Alex is also a cuddly lap dog who loves to give kisses and enjoys being by your side. He`s sweet, often seeking affection and companionship.Alex is crate trained, house trained and still enjoys leading the way on a leash so he`ll need someone strong to walk him, preferably using a harness. He knows the sit and no commands. He`s a quiet soul, rarely causing a ruckus, yet always there when you need a comforting presence. He likes to be around his family but he`s also independent and stays calm by himself at home when his family is away. He is easygoing, friendly, and playful with one and all. He was given up because his family didn`t have enough time for him. He has a few quirks, like his love for chewing (he`ll need indestructible toys! No stuffed toys!) and digging, and his occasional adventurous streak that might lead him to race out the door. But these are all part of his charming personality. He can be a bit rough with other dogs and jumpy around children, but he is learning to pace himself.Alex is more than just a shelter pet, he`s a loyal friend waiting for a forever home. While staying at his foster home he showed what a calm, playful, affectionate bundle of joy he was. He had free roam of the house, slept in his bed in the main bedroom or on the couch in the living room. His special talent?
