My story

Meet Toffee – Sweet, Spunky & One of a Kind! ?? Toffee is a 2 1/2 year-old Akita mix that loves everyone! She is super soft and surprisingly, sheds very little. Toffee has been in a foster home with a dog and 2 cats since she had double hip surgery on 1 July. Rehab is progressing well!Toffee has great leash manners and enjoys daily walks. She wants to be near her people at all times. She does not get on furniture and does not beg for food. She can be left alone and just sleeps and waits for your return.Toffee barks and runs to door when someone rings the doorbell. However, she is very friendly with new people and loves to be petted by anyone and everyone. In her foster home, Toffee sometimes watches the cats but has not shown any aggression towards them. Between Toffee and the foster`s dog, they have learned to be careful to give food, treats and affection separately. The dogs walk side-by-side on walks and play in the back yard together. Toffee likes to explore outside but is happiest being inside with the family. Toffee will be available for adoption when her rehab is complete. If you are interested in learning more about Toffee, please call the Pet Adoption Center! She would love to meet you!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt TOFFEE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
