**Meet Poe – Your Adventure Buddy and Cuddle Companion!** At about 1.5 years old and 43 pounds, Poe is the perfect mix of playful energy and sweet affection. Whether you're up for a hike or a cozy night in, he is always ready to join in on the fun! Poe walks well on a leash with just a little excitement, takes treats oh-so-gently, and shows signs of being housetrained—no accidents or marking inside! Poe does occasionally have some motion sickness when riding in the car. Despite this, he rides well in the car and handles it like a champ. This social butterfly thinks everyone is a friend and does great walking past other dogs. While he sometimes jumps up from excitement, he is easily redirected. He even tolerates a bath—though he definitely isn’t a fan! Poe truly is the sweetest boy who deserves a loving home where he can be your best adventure buddy and cuddle companion. Could he be the perfect fit for you? Come meet him and find out! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
