My story

Nola is truly an exceptional girl. She is the dog that everyone hopes their dog to be. She is a little shy when meeting new people, and she is very observant so she will quickly trust a new person when she senses their kindness. She is a very gentle tempered, sweet girl that would love a person to whom she can be a devoted companion. Even with all the changes throughout the past few months, she has remained a loving, affectionate girl to every new person that has come in to her life. About 6 months ago, her person suddenly died so she was given to a family friend. He also recently died and there was nowhere for her to go so she and two small dogs (Calvin is pictured) were left abandoned in a home together for almost three weeks. They did have a friend of the family come once a day to feed them and let them go outside for a quick potty break. As much as they tried, they could not find any help until we were contacted. Both of these dogs are so wonderful, we just could not say no to them. Nola loves her little buddy, but she’ll be just fine as an only dog as long a new loving person has plenty of time to share. She’s wonderful with the kitties, too. She would be a great walking and hiking partner, and she can just lounge around, too. Nola is very quiet so she could also be a great office dog companion. She is approx 6yrs old and is a solid 55lb girl. With her square head and jaw, she appears to be a Boxer, perhaps mixed with Cattle Dog, AmStaff and maybe even a little Shar pei in the mix. What we do know is that she is a wonderful, rare gem of a girl that is not often found. She is house trained, crate trained, and she’s great in the car. She will be a wonderful addition to a very lucky family. She must have 4ft or higher, securely fenced yard. Kids should be over 10yrs old

If you have any questions or would like to adopt NOLA IS A PERFECT GIRL, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
