My story

! Hey, it’s me—Prime, though you might remember me as Parmesan back at the York SPCA. I grew up in the shelter, so yeah, I was a big puppy with zero manners, just doing anything I could to get attention. Now I’m in the HOPE Program, which helps dogs like me learn structure, manners, and life skills so we can shine in forever homes. I’m playful, strong, and full of personality—sometimes I make you laugh with my clueless head tilts, sometimes I make you shake your head with my antics (like when I grabbed the poop bag during zoomies—oops!). I love people, and I’m learning how to make dog friends, though not every dog will be my best buddy right away. The best part? I come with free lifetime training assistance through the HOPE Program to help me keep growing. They call me “Prime Time” for a reason—I bring the show, the laughs, and the heart.
