My story

Ladies and gentlemen… The most exciting, sweetest boy you`ve ever witnessed! Appearing live, Doug E Fresh!Doug is the freshest, most precious American Staffordshire Terrier that you will ever meet! He is approximately two years old. He weighs about 66 pounds. He is neutered, potty trained and up to date on all of his vaccines! Doug was originally found as a stray. He was put in a kennel at the IACS facility where he was very stressed out. He was not doing well at the shelter at all and for that reason he was set to be euthanized. We, his foster family, saw his urgent need and welcomed him into our home, and we are so happy that we did! Doug is being fostered through IACS and he is absolutely thriving in his foster home! He currently lives with two humans and three foster fur siblings. Doug’s foster fur siblings include a male American Bulldog named Theo, a male Olde English Bulldogge named Rocket and a female English Bulldog named Chuleta (aka Pork Chop). He gets along with all three of the resident dogs wonderfully and is extremely affectionate towards his two human foster parents! You would think that our home was a WWE Smackdown arena with how much Doug, Theo and Rocket all play together! If they start playing a smidge too rough, referee Chuleta barks and jumps in to calm things down! Although Doug is playful and full of life, do not let his energy level fool you as he also loves to cuddle and chill! He is the snuggliest boy ever! Doug is very well behaved and non-destructive. He is so well-mannered that we have left him out of his crate a few times while we were out and each time our home was in perfect condition when we returned! Doug’s ideal forever home would include another playful dog(s) and no cats. He is so sweet that we are confident he would do well with children; however, we, his foster parents, do not have children of our own. All in all, Doug is 100% the bestest, freshest boy ever! If you think you are fresh enough to adopt the one and only D-O-U-G-I-E Fresh then please apply through IACS (Indianapolis Animal Care Services)!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt DOUG, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
