My story

This sweet little 7 year old lady was initially afraid of everything and trying to run, hide and nip, but now that she has settled in she is a sweetie...she needs a slow "touch" if you have visitors, or go too fast with her before she has decompressed and settled in....she will still try to give you a warning nip!  Not every dog has had a loving past, and we don't know what hers was, but we do know that if you give her the time, and not try to be her best friend right away, she will come around and be a very dedicated companion.   We feel Coco would do best in a quiest home, and one that won't push her too soon, but will give her whatever time she needs to be comfortable.  It may be a lot to ask, but we know there is someone special out ther for her!  Shea  does use wee wee pad for pee pee and does other business outside.  Please go to the link to fill our our adoption application.  https://www.remembermerescueny.net/adoption-application  Remember Me Rescue does not adopt out of the local area, no transport is available.  We adopt to Long Island, Westchester, NYC area and parts of Connecticut only. Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue.
