My story

Meet Lana – Your Playful, Snuggly Adventure Buddy!Lana is a 2-year-old, 46-pound sweetheart who’s full of life and love. We pulled her off the urgent list at FCAS on April 11, and after a few weeks of decompressing in foster care, her joyful, affectionate personality has really begun to shine.Lana is a toy fanatic—balls, frisbees, and stuffed animals are her jam! One of the first things she did when she arrived was gather up all the stray toys our resident Chihuahuas had hidden and bring them to her crate like buried treasure. She’s always up for a game of fetch and leaps through the air with athletic grace, making her a great candidate for agility training. But once playtime’s over, this girl is all about the cuddles. She adores snuggling on the couch or bed and loves being close to her humans—especially if you’re working on your laptop. We believe Lana may be a mix of Staffordshire Terrier and Pointer, and she’s a real stunner with her beautiful, unique markings. She’s medium-to-high energy and would thrive in a home with a yard or with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle—think hiking, walks, and playtime in the park. I think she would also do well with a playmate her size . She’s already crate-trained, knows sit and comes when called. She’s shown no interest in chewing anything that isn’t hers, which is a big plus! Lana gets along well with small, calm dogs (she mostly ignores our older calm Chihuahuas) but may get reactive with dogs who challenge her like our small reactive chihuahua —nothing major so far , just a little back-talk when provoked. She’s done well meeting new people outside of the house and doesn’t seem fazed by children. On walks, she does pull a bit and occasionally shows some leash reactivity, but we believe with continued training and consistency, she’ll improve quickly.Lana is a total lovebug with so much potential. She’s playful, loyal, smart, and eager to please. With the right family and training , she’s going to make an incredible forever companion.Interested in learning more about Lana? Send us a message or check out her adoption page. Let’s find this amazing girl the home she deserves!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lana, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
