My story

Meet Bentley, the total schnauzer-y package! Bentley is a bundle of love who’s looking for his perfect furever family. He is all about snuggles, attention, and pats - all the pats. He’ll roll onto his back for belly rubs and greets people with full-body tail wags that will melt your heart. Bentley is eager to please, loves being active, and just wants to be your sidekick. Bentley adores people and will follow his foster parents from room to room like the loyal little shadow he is. He thinks he’s a lapdog (despite his size) and has zero concept of personal space (in the best way). He also LOVES going on walks, sniffing in the yard, playing fetch, and eating all the snacks. He’s crate trained, house trained, and walks well on leash, though he's not big on riding in the car. Bentley has been doing well with the other dogs in his foster home, though he can be a little dog-selective and anxious at times. He eats separately and prefers a calm, structured environment - his ideal home will be a quiet place where he can learn the routine and feel safe and relaxed. He takes Prozac regularly to help with some seperation anxiety and it's made a big difference for him. He’s a no on cats (he insists they started it), and would do best in a home without young kids. Older, respectful children are more his speed. Bentley just wants to be near his people and will thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to shower him with love and attention and keep working with him on his training.
