Meet Lollipop! This sweet-as-candy 2-year-old Pitty mix is as adorable as her name suggests! With her gorgeous soft white and brown coat and the most loving eyes, she’ll melt your heart in an instant. Lollipop is a pro at cuddles and kisses, always ready to shower her favorite people with affection. She’s a total social butterfly who loves everyone she meets, making friends wherever she goes. She also enjoys sniffy walks outside, taking in all the exciting scents around her. If you're looking for a loving, affectionate, and happy-go-lucky pup, Lollipop is ready to be your sweetest new best friend! When Lollipop arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from their partner shelter in Oklahoma, she tested positive for Heartworm. But don’t worry—her prognosis is great, and with the right care, she’ll be back to her happy, healthy self in no time! The shelter staff believes the best place for a Heartworm-positive dog like Lollipop to recover is with a loving forever family like yours. If you choose to adopt her, the clinic staff will be there every step of the way, offering guidance and support throughout her treatment. The process typically takes about three months and includes some simple at-home care to keep her safe while she heals. A final follow-up test at six months will confirm her recovery. And here’s some good news—Heartworm isn’t contagious between animals; it can only be spread by mosquitoes. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
