My story

Fuego may have a fiery name, but he’s as sweet and gentle as they come! This spunky 7-year-old Beagle-Basset mix was found as a stray, but he’s ready to settle into a loving home. His small size makes him a great fit for any living situation, including apartments and condos.Quiet as can be—except when he’s snoring (and trust us, his snores can rival any human’s!)—Fuego is house-trained, crate-trained, and so well-behaved that he can have free roam of the house. He loves spending time in the yard, nose to the ground, tracking scents like a true Beagle. As he is a climber and jumper, he will need a tall, sturdy, secure fence yard to keep him safe. He’s great with other dogs, adores snuggling with his family, and is always ready for snacks! The only thing he’s not a fan of? Car rides—so be prepared for a little drool cleanup if you take him on an adventure. He really enjoys getting out in the wilderness and camping with his family!If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who will fill your home with love (and maybe some snores), Fuego is your guy! Do not apply to adopt from BROOD if you live in another state. We require a virtual home visit and a veterinary reference.
