My story

Anna was rescued from a high-kill shelter because she was sick and AALOC knew she would be euthanized. We believe she may have been taken from her mother and littermates shortly after birth and dropped off at a high-kill shelter as a “stray.” She cried and cried for her canine family when we picked her up. Anna needs a patient new family that will love and play with her. We are also looking for a foster for Anna to care for her until she is adopted. Anna, a Doberman Pinscher mix, is a medium-size dog with long skinny legs; she’s tall but doesn’t really weigh that much. She has lots of playful puppy energy and loves to go on runs. Anna is very sweet and gives out plenty of puppy kisses. She also likes to hang out with other dogs. While on walks she will stop and wait for her dog buddy if he/she gets too far behind. As a foster you would need to provide Anna with all the love and care she needs. AALOC will pay for all costs associated with her care. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances.
