My story

**Meet Phil!** Phil is a lovable 3-year-old bundle of joy, weighing in at a solid 73 lbs of pure charm. This goofy, gentle giant is sure to win your heart with his adorable fat head and easygoing personality. Phil is fantastic in public, always calm and friendly when meeting new people. He's a social butterfly when it comes to humans and loves making new friends wherever he goes. Whether it's a trip to the park or just a stroll around the neighborhood, Phil is sure to keep you smiling with his warm and relaxed demeanor. In the car, Phil is an absolute gem. He'll happily settle into the seat and relax, gazing out the window as you drive. Road trips with him are a breeze, and he’s a great companion on the go. Phil is also well-mannered when it comes to bath time. He handles baths like a pro, staying calm and collected throughout the process, showing that he's easy to care for when it's time to freshen up. When on a leash, Phil can be a bit of a puller at first, but he quickly settles into a more relaxed pace once he's away from the kennel. With mild pulling as the only quirk left, he's easy to walk and enjoys his time outdoors. Phil is very treat-motivated, so training him is a breeze! He already knows "sit" and is eager to learn more, making him a great fit for a family ready to teach him new tricks. This big guy has a knack for relaxation, too. He loves to hang out with his humans and will often roll onto his back, ready to chill out right next to you—especially between your legs, where he feels safe and happy. Phil’s love for companionship and easy-going nature make him the perfect addition to any home. If you're looking for a sweet, goofy, and cuddly best friend, Phil is the one for you. Come meet him today and see for yourself why this lovable guy is so special! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Phil, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
