My story

Marrella is a gentle, easygoing girl who loves being around people. She greets everyone with soft eyes and a friendly wag, taking treats gently and showing off her polite “sit.” She’s social yet timid, preferring to find a cozy spot to relax while still enjoying the company of those around her. Marrella is happy to meet new friends at her own pace. If you’re looking for a calm and loving companion, Marrella would love to find a quiet home where she can feel safe and adored! When we approached the kennel she was in the back but we called her and she came up. She was easily leashed and headed outside. She pulled moderately on leash. We passed other dogs and saw dogs playing in playgroups, she did not react at all. We stopped to talk to another volunteer and she just stood next to her handler. In the yard, she spent most of her time sniffing. She didn’t show interest in toys and rarely solicited attention from the handlers. After exploring, she laid down in the yard. When it was time to return, we walked back to her kennel and returned with no issue! 03/08/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Marrella was at the front with mid level tail, and soft eyes. She leash dodged many times and allowed me to leash her with some treats before throwing a lasso. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls moderately HANDLING : In the room, Marrella was social and walked around the room with mid level wags and soft eyes. She allowed all handling and walked up to another staff member with a loose body. She sat for treats and came forward, taking them gently. She was social with consumers and children. She is laid abc and a timid girl, picking a spot to lay down in.
