My story

This scruffy sweetheart is a 1.5-year-old, 30-pound terrier mix with a goofy, affectionate personality. Found as a stray, Evermore is still learning that the world can be a safe, loving place—but with the right home, she’s going to blossom into the most loyal and affectionate companion.Evermore is playful, quirky, and full of puppy energy. She loves toys—especially tennis balls and peanut butter-filled puzzles—but anything that squeaks? Nope, too spooky. She’s not a chewer and is totally trustworthy left out in the house overnight or while you’re away. She’s fully potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside by standing at the back door. She adores other dogs and needs a confident canine buddy to help guide her and show her the ropes. She bonds closely with her people and tends to stick like Velcro—she just wants to be near someone, whether it’s you or her doggy BFF.Evermore can be timid with new people and will sometimes give a little growl at first, but with calm, confident energy, she melts into a belly-up wiggle worm asking for pets. She picks up on energy quickly, so she’d do best in a home with people who are steady and self-assured—not overly anxious or reactive. She’s afraid of rain and thunder, but with reassurance, she settles. And when she’s excited? She’ll sing you the song of her people in the form of adorable high-pitched squeaks!Evermore is a goofy, affectionate, silly soul who just needs a patient, dog-savvy family to help her feel secure. With the right environment and a confident pup by her side, she’ll give you endless snuggles, laughs, and love.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.May 25, 2025, 5:26 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Evermore, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
