My story

My name is Patch. I’m 6 months young (as of Feb. 2025) & am an active Pit Bull mix, possibly with Boxer. I’m about 40 lbs. & should get up to about 65 or 70 lbs. I’ve lived with my Foster Mom (FM) for 4 months. There is a resident dog here too. She tries to teach me to be a good boy. I like playing with my Foster Sister (FS), & we chase each other all around the backyard. I love to play tug of war especially. I love all toys, but my favorite is a big Jolly Ball. I’m slowly learning that all things on the floor are NOT my toys. I need a strong human to continue teaching me the rules & good manners.When my FM leaves the house, I get so excited when she comes back in 5 minutes later. It seems like a long time to me, so I excitedly jump up & down. I calm down faster than when I got here. I hear ‘good boy’ more often now! I learned how to use the doggie doors quickly. However, when water falls from the sky, my FM puts wee pads in the laundry room so my FS & I don’t have to go outside. I might need some coaxing to go in my crate to sleep at night because I rather sleep with my human though. I get a nice treat when I get in the crate. I sleep quietly all night long.I was sick when I got here, but my FM was able to get the shelter to do surgery & neutered me at the same time. I have another surgery 2/26 to take out my bad eye. I’ll be in great shape then. I hope you want to come meet me.
