To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit https://bulldoghavennw.org/apply/ I came into the care of Bulldog Haven NW as Max but my foster Momma immediately started calling me Maxxie Dean (a deep Beetlejuice reference) and she saw how excited happy voices make me. My past life experience is just that, the past. I'm a forward thinking boy and I love to hang out with my family. I'm a true redhead and have soft, silky fur. I respond to my name and I love to make you happy. I was so excited to meet my four foster siblings, they weren't very inclusive in the beginning, but I didn't care, I knew I could win them over with my charm and ebullient personality! Mission accomplished, they love my morning zoomies and my evening puppy piles. Foster Momma saw right away I needed to add healthy weight and my Dogtor soon agreed, she said let's put four pounds on this boy and wow, did that make me happy! I use a Flough Trough with a stainless steel insert so my food is raised, my neck and airway are at a great angle and Momma can sanitize my bowl after every meal. To say I like food and treats is an understatement, but I'm very gentle and never snatch or nip for yummies. I love my welcoming doggy companions and Foster Momma and I agree I'll do best in a home with friendly furry roommates. Cats have no interest for me, but I believe I might learn to snuggle with one. My humans are my main focus and I can get stressed out when they leave me alone for too long, 4-5 hours is my limit right now. On the plus side, I kennel well and although I'd love to sleep with the people all the time I will sleep in my kennel too. I want (want! want!) to do the right thing, I want to do my potty business outside, my signals are subtle but I think we'll quickly get into a good groove. I'm so stinkin' excited to meet you, sit on your lap, snuggle your ear and begin the rest of our lives together. Maxxie Dean will top out at about 24 pounds and he will be a beloved addition to any family.
