My story

Meet Inara — Your Future Adventure Buddy! ?????? Looking for a fun, sporty sidekick who’ll match your energy and steal your heart? Inara is your girl. This 2-year-old Pit Bull mix is small in size but huge in personality. Found as a stray in February, Inara is now ready to leap (literally) into her forever home.?? Energy & EnthusiasmThis girl’s got springs for legs (she once jumped over staff to land on a bench!) and a zest for life. She’s happiest when she’s on the move—running in the yard, chasing tennis balls, or jogging by your side. She’s already had a taste of agility and is a natural. A six-foot fence is recommended, and she’d thrive with an active adopter who can keep up with her energy needs.?? Playful & SmartInara lives for tennis balls and is always game for a good wrestle with her dog friends. She’s shining in playgroups, confidently making friends and reading canine body language like a pro. She already knows “sit,” takes treats gently, and is likely potty trained. Mental stimulation, like puzzle toys or trick training, will help this smarty-paws stay balanced and content.?? Sweet, Sensitive SoulDon’t let her high energy fool you—Inara is also a cuddler with a soft side. She gives the gentlest hugs, leans into affection, and blinks at you with the softest eyes. She can be kennel-reactive and has shown signs of separation anxiety, but it all stems from her deep desire for connection. She just doesn’t want to be left behind again.????? Still LearningInara pulls hard on leash, but she’s already improved with an Easy Walk harness and patient training. She’s not food-aggressive but did show signs of guarding her bowl, so a food protocol is recommended in her new home to help build trust and routine.?? Ideal HomeAdults or experienced dog-savvy teensActive lifestyle: hiking, running, fetch, agilityNo catsPossibly a confident dog companionA home ready to provide structure, patience, and LOTS of loveInara is stressed in the shelter and urgently needs a foster or adopter to give her the time, space, and connection she deserves. Whether you’re looking for a jogging buddy, agility prospect, or just a loyal best friend who’ll never leave your side, Inara is ready to be your ride-or-die.??
