My story

How this pet arrived: Halen was brought in by a community member on February 23, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Halen - a soulful, goofy pup! Though he can be a little cautious when meeting new people, this smart boy has made incredible progress with positive reinforcement training. These days, Halen has lots of friends, can walk past strangers with ease, and stay focused on his handler (especially if treats are involved!). Once he feels safe, Halen melts into affection and is always happy to soak up scratches from his trusted people. Halen's playful side is as cute as can be - he loves to toss his body around in silly ways during playtime, keeping everyone entertained. He enjoys the company of other dogs and may even do well with cats! An adventurous spirit at heart, Halen absolutely loves walks and would make an excellent hiking buddy. Just be mindful of yard security - this agile guy has been known to clear a 4-foot fence, so supervision is key! Halen is looking for a calm, low-traffic home without young children (under 8) where he can continue to thrive at his own pace. Think this sweet, smart, and silly guy could be the one?
