My story

Hi, I’m Lapis! I’m a soft-hearted little lady who might be a bit shy when we first meet—but don’t worry, it doesn’t take me long to warm up. Once I feel safe, I’ll happily follow you around the house like a quiet little shadow, offering sweet purrs and gentle companionship.I absolutely adore chin and ear scratches—they make me purr like a tiny motor! I’ll greet you when you come home with a soft meow to say I missed you (and also to let you know I wouldn’t mind a snack!). I’m not a lap cat, but I love being nearby—lounging on the bed, curling up in a sunny window, or settling down at your feet at night to keep you company while you sleep.Slinky toys and wand games bring out my playful side, and I’m always up for a little fun if you’re in the mood. I’ve met a large, male dog a few times and while I wasn’t so sure about him at first, I’m slowly getting used to him—so I think I could live with a gentle dog buddy in the right home.I’m neat with my litter box, quiet, and content with my own space, but I’m really looking forward to finding a forever home where I can feel safe, loved, and appreciated for the sweet girl I am. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate kitty who just wants to be near you, I might be your perfect match. ??My adoption fee of $25 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
