My story

Romeo is a handsome, buff and white tabby cat who immediately lived up to his name by purring through his initial medical exam at HART. He is around 10 years old and came to us this past Winter when his owner could no longer care for him. Although at first a little overwhelmed by the changes in his circumstances, over the past several months he has adjusted pretty well to shelter life, and now readily enjoys sharing his social and affectionate personality with the people who visit his room—volunteers and visitors can attest to his lap cat credentials and lovely purr! He has had some trouble getting along with his roommates, so we feel that he would do best in a home without other cats, as well as without dogs or young children. This sweet gentleman has been diagnosed with heart disease and currently takes medication to manage his condition. Our Medical Team will require that his adopter has an established relationship with a veterinarian, and it is recommended that he have twice-yearly echocardiograms to monitor his heart health. Meet Romeo in Room 2.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As
